FOX2’s “Push for Pujols” Inspires Lofty Opinions

Author: Matt Sebek | Filed under: St. Louis CardinalsFOX2’s attempt to motivate a local fan base to vote for their home town player’s spot in the MLB All Star Game is no different than the 29 other campaigns going on across the country. In their “Push for Pujols” campaign, FOX2 urges fans to vote online for the Cardinals Albert Pujols as the National League’s starting first baseman. No problem with that.
However, they also include a complementary poll question for fans to guess how many home runs Albert Pujols will hit in the preceding Home Run Derby.

You absolutely *have* to love online vote creators that include an option much like the fourth one above, which essentially states, “I have no opinion.” Doesn’t make much sense does it? Of course, the only thing stupider would be if someone actually selected “I have no opinion” as their actual opinion. But, clearly St. Louis is smarter than that, right? I mean, after all, we’re the best fans in baseball, right?

Fail.
